By Pinky More, Richard Slager and Sanne Lute.
This 14-day we offer you a total package of what Yoga, Ayurveda and the beautiful surroundings of Centre Lothlorien can offer. Rest and relaxation, a proper daily rhythm, fresh air, exercise and healthy food are paramount.
- Stay at a beautiful French estate in the middle of nature.
- Yoga Asanas 5 days a week in the early morning.
- A week on the basics of Ayurveda, with choice of workshops in Yoga, herbs or cooking.
- A week of hikes and meditative exercises in the natural surroundings.
- The possibility to participate in healthy vegetarian (Ayurvedic) meals.
In the first week you will be introduced to the basic principles of Ayurveda in the morning from 09:30 – 11:00. What does the philosophy entail? What is your Ayurvedic body type? How does your body interact with herbs and nutrition? In addition, you may choose from one of three workshop modules:
- Ayurveda and Yoga 11:30 – 12:30:
Discover which Yoga Asana suits your personality and body type. Each Asana has a purpose and an effect. By combining the knowledge of Ayurveda and Yoga you will find the perfect balance for yourself.
- Ayurveda and herbs 14:00 – 16:00
Get to know the herbs on the grounds and surroundings of Centre Lothlorien. Get to work with them by drying them, composing teas and making massage oil or rose water, for example.
- Ayurveda and cooking 16:30 – 18:30
Actually apply what you learn in theory by preparing Vedic meals for guests under the guidance of the cook. Use Indian spices for Sattvik meals and balance the 6 flavors.
When making the reservation, specify what you choose. Having trouble choosing? It is possible to add an extra module for EUR 100.
In the second week you will use Indian meditation techniques to relax and find your deepest self again. Although we are all in some way engaged in consciousness and personal development, we often do not dwell on it long enough to really change anything in our lives. The surroundings of Centre Lothlorien are a true walking paradise. With lots of forest, vast fields, lakes, streams and valleys and above all no people to be seen, it is easy to really come back to yourself.
At Centre Lothlorien, we teach Indian Classic Yoga, Yoga as it is taught in India. Here, Yoga is ‘A Way of Life’. At the Centre both Dutch and English are spoken.
