As in 2018, the Grandmothers will come to Centre Lothlorien to share their knowledge and wisdom about life.
The week will consist of Teachings. The Grandmothers will also take you on their walks through nature and teach you to look differently at everything you encounter. Massage classes are offered and personal consultations are available for an extra fee.
Tomasa and Poxita also take us through their ceremonies.
Mayan medicine is based on 4 pillars: massage, herbalism, prayer and ceremony.
The week is also a great addition to your knowledge if you are a practising naturopath.
Being in the presence of both Grandmothers makes you feel grounded and grateful for life. This alone makes it a fantastic week to participate in.
The proceeds of the week are for the healing centre IXPIYAKOK IXMUKANE in Chichicastanengo, Guatemala.

“There are those encounters you don’t forget for a lifetime. My introduction during the first ‘Maya healing’ week was such a moment. My expectations were high, in terms of content, I expected plant knowledge, I assumed massage techniques and looked forward to the rituals. But I could never have imagined what it would feel like. Grandmother Tomasa and Grandmother Poxita from Guatemala feel like they have travelled to you straight from the bowels of the earth to let you experience how magically exquisite everything is. Nature is in balance, fully balanced and in flow. And where this is not the case, you can see, feel and pinpoint where love is no longer flowing. Through botany, barefoot meditation, touch and ceremony, they let me experience how to take good care of myself and support others in this process. The grandmothers provide a happy note during the course. Ever energetic and cheerful, they let me experience how they work.
