For two weeks, live in a natural rhythm, in a relaxing environment. Learn about the practical application of medicinal herbs and find yourself through meditative walks in nature.
By Richard Slager and Pinky More.
Your body is capable of healing anything, but to be healthy you have to work for it. Rest and relaxation, a proper daily rhythm, exercise and healthy eating are at the forefront of this.
In this 14 -day retreat we offer all this.
– Accommodation at a beautiful French estate in the middle of nature.
– Yoga Asanas 5 days a week in the early morning.
– One week morning programme on working with herbs to promote your health.
– One week morning programme with walks and meditative exercises in the natural surroundings.
– All afternoons free to spend.
– The possibility to participate in healthy vegetarian meals
In the first week, you will be introduced to the herbs on the grounds and surroundings of Centre Lothlorien. Learn how to work with these herbs by drying them, composing tea, making massage oil with them, making rose water and how to use them in cooking. Experience how you can also use Indian herbs and spices for flavour and to promote your health.
The knowledge about spices is based on local herbal medicine or Phytotherapy. In the course content, we also bridge to the Indian lore of Yoga and Ayurveda.
Ayurveda is the oldest medicine of the world and means ‘Knowledge of Life’. Ayurveda is a medicine that treats the cause of complaints and disease rather than the symptoms. In Ayurveda, only natural products are used.
In the second week, you will use Indian meditation techniques to achieve relaxation and find your deepest self again. Although we all engage with awareness and personal development in some way, we often don’t dwell on this long enough to really change anything in our lives. The surroundings of Centre Lothlorien are a true walking paradise. With lots of woods, vast fields, lakes, streams and valleys and above all no people to be seen, it is easy to really come back to yourself.
At Centre Lothlorien, we teach Indian Classic Yoga, Yoga as it is taught in India. Here, Yoga is ‘A Way of Life’.
There is attention to your personal situation or issues.
Activities take place Monday to Friday in the morning from 09:30 to 12:30. You can also participate in Yoga classes in the morning from 07:30 to 08:30.
Activities are taught in English.
